As Creative Direction Manager, you will lead a team of senior creative planners and directors, with a never-ending passion and belief that creativity and ideas are a change driver. You will be responsible for leading and developing overarching IKEA Creative Direction, platforms and concepts; and through Marketing and Communication, exceed customer expectations with IKEA.
Some of your main tasks will be:
Define and develop common creative frameworks and guidelines to bring Brand, Business, Product Range and Creativity together
Lead a team that defines, assigns and follow-ups the creative direction and planning
Lead and manage co-workers in creating an inclusive, engaging and future-oriented learning environment that supports a continuous competence development and entrepreneurial spirit
Direct & facilitate implementation of creative direction, platforms, and concepts into communication development at IMC
Explore opportunities to re-engineer how creative development and ideation can happen, collaborating for the good of IKEA. Both within IMC and across IKEA
Lead creative planning securing connection between business objectives, creative ideas and consumer relevance.
Support assignment briefings and lead development of creative briefs
Support marketing & communication planning including but not limited to messaging frameworks, editorial content planning
Define and lead new ways of working and processes for creative height and based on consumer driven insights
You have developed and implemented global creative directions for communication assignments on multiple digital platforms for large business/brands within Media or Retail industries. You are passionate about people, business and creativity – and believe they all need to come together to create true impact!
You have experience deep understanding of the customer journey and how people consume & experience marketing and communication. If you bring with you an understanding of IKEA Concept and strategies, the IKEA Brand, including IKEA Brand values, copy and visual identity, and tone of voice it's a plus.
Your values-based leadership, leading by example every day, staying close to your team, and knowing your business are pre-requisites to lead, build and develop the global communication for IKEA businesses and the IKEA product range. You have a development mindset, and you are comfortable exploring and not having all the answers. Leading with trust and give space for people to take own initiatives comes naturally to you. At the same time, you can give clarity, direction and you are confident taking both easy and challenging decisions.
