Here we help shape IKEA's future by providing meaningful insights in terms of short- and long-term financial planning and support IKEA’s journey to become a true omnichannel retailer. We manage and develop several digital products to provide insights for IKEA expansion and market penetration process, set the monthly goals and forecasts across global IKEA units. Our products are even used by the supervisory board of IKEA to enable decision making.
We are looking for you to lead engineering agenda in our team developing products with great value to steer our business. We are a small team based in south of Sweden, Malmö and Helsingborg, but a mix of local and remote work is not a problem.

Through your previous experience you know how to build and grow agile software engineering teams, as well as develop an engineering culture allowing continuous learning through mistakes and innovation. You should know what it takes to develop, run, monitor, and support digital products or services based on a mix of on-premises and public cloud infrastructure. You care about compliance, automation, scalability, resilience, and data quality and how that impacts the product life cycle. You should also have an interest in keeping up with the latest advancements in DevOps and Agile ways of working.
We expect you to have following knowledge / experience:
• Team leadership and coaching of a high-performing, multi-disciplined and autonomous team. Experience to set the strategic direction for an area and manage senior stakeholders across organization.
• Extensive knowledge of software engineering practices including Behavior Driven Development, Test Driven Development, test automation, DevOps, code versioning, using industry standard toolsets (Jira, Confluence, GitHub).
• Proven education in information technology, computer science or any engineering equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as software engineer with experience/knowledge in various tech stacks, prior to taking leadership roles.
• Budget & Planning tools (preferably IBM Planning Analytics) including Designing cubes and stored procedures to enable business logic and rules.
• Corporate Performance Management and/or Financial Planning & Analysis.
• Good knowledge of the IKEA Concept, brand identity and IKEA Culture & values.
It will be beneficial if you have worked with:
• Exposing data to data mesh Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• ETL from the planning tools with the use of python scripts and SQL.
• Planning & Budgeting tools like: Anaplan, Jedox, SAP BPC & SAP Analytics Cloud.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Recruit, lead and develop a multi-cultural team of software & system engineers to implement, evolve, support, and own software and system components to Group Digital quality standards following DevOps principles.
• Be accountable for technical delivery of one or multiple products. Provide technical domain knowledge, architectural leadership and coach the teams in high class standards for software engineering and operations. Help the team drive a cloud first agenda, adhere to modern software engineering principles, utilize the proper tools, enable automation for the specified business outcomes.
• Work closely with the assigned product owners and all groups within the Digital Technology organization to support the overarching product owner’s roadmap.
• Secure that product teams are resourced with the right level and standard of engineers, Manage all technical resources and capacity plans within budget.
