We are happy to announce a vacant position as Sales Manager. IKEA Slependen is one of IKEA’s biggest stores and we have great ambitions and plans for the future. You will lead a highly committed and competent sales team and you will also have the ability to work together with, and influence the new IKEA Plan & Order Points in your district.
As our Sales Manager you will lead a Sales team of 150 people together with two deputies and 13 Shopkeepers. You will also be part of IKEA Slependen management team. In this role you will lead the commercial action plan for IKEA Slependen to ensure that Sales supports the achievement of the agreed goals for the country, maximises sales and generates sustained long-term profitability.

As our Sales Manager you will lead and inspire your team to optimize the shopping experience to secure satisfied customers and increased sales and profitability. You achieve this by using your knowledge of the IKEA product range, IKEA tools, competitors, local market potential and by working with your team and other functions to ensure your store is locally relevant throughout the different sales channels. We believe you base your leadership on performing and delivering while learning and developing in the business.
Others main tasks will be to: • Follow up your financial goals, KPIs and costs and take action on deviations • Steer the business in an omnichannel retail environment, particularly the IKEA store and IKEA website • Understand the IKEA social and environmental commitments and know how you can contribute to our sustainability agenda • Secure successful implementation of country priorities • Motivate and develop team members by agreeing clear goals, expectations and conducting follow-ups • Secure competent and high-performing teams and leaders who inspire and empower co-workers to recognize and understand their contribution, and to identify and develop the many talents within the department to secure succession planning

You have passion for sales, home furnishing, a customer centric thinking, as well as care and empathy for people. You bring experience of leading in a changing environment and from a people-centric organization.
We also believe you bring experience of understanding the local market and competitors. In addition, you hold the ability to drive a high-volume business and the acumen to drive P&L results. You engage by creating passion for your plans and inspire others. You also communicate confidently and clearly in English. Previous experience of strategic leadership and developing high level leaders is needed.
